I do understand you reasoning for Xp and it's very valid. I'll try my hands at a guide, but not before all the new update is somewhat settled as I guess many things may change very quickly. Thanks for your answer, and again thanks for a constructive guide. The only reason I stop at level 14 and tell "to ask forum", is because it was so long ago I played in Oregon so I really dont know how that place work atm or which gear to use. When it comes to Oregon it's very possible that the valuespin 190 can be used. The "big" money will be in New york and from the Walleyes. It's true that the money is better on spotted bass, but since you only gonna be in Texas until level 7, it will not make that big difference. But I came to the conclusion that in order to reach level 7 as fast as possible, I still needed to switch over to the petfood and floatfishing at level 4 cus the xp is better there than on spotted bass. I did buy that one on the account that I just leveled (before I made this guide). :P So if anyone want to take this info to make a real steam guide, they are welcome to do so. The simple reason to why I dont make this a "steam guide" is due to the fact that I dont know how to do a steam guide. Originally posted by BonPadre:Great stuff Jeppe. So the same rod with a better reel would be a viable cheap solution even in Oregon as a spare rod. Longer time to reel in fishes, need more skills, but still very doable. So whatever you choose (lenght of the rod) new players should also know some gear can go a long way. and land trophies rainbows and some "light" browns. I'm more like asking your point of view on that way to go.įor info, I still use the valuespin190 and the Callisto XS1400 in Oregon on a 0.12 braided line on places with short casts. Again, not stating it's what should be done. Is it due to cost of buying the 2 rods ? I would understand but I guess you make it pretty fast the money back. Why not at lvl 3 get the valuespin 190 ? and get after spotted bass right away ? as they bring in more cash per kg than float in Texas ? And then go after the Valuespin 260 as you suggest ? Now, I guess like me, you know that in this update, lure fishing is as important as floatfishing (if not more imo, but never been a float guy.
